How to Switch to Your Workplace Email on Zoom: Step-by-Step Guide

To ensure that your Zoom app is using your workplace email ID when you join meetings, follow these steps to log out of your personal Zoom account and log in using your workplace email:

1. Sign Out of Your Personal Zoom Account

  • Open Zoom: Launch the Zoom application on your desktop or mobile device.
  • Click on your profile picture (top-right corner).
  • Select "Sign Out" from the dropdown.

2. Sign In with Your Workplace Zoom Account

  • After signing out, you'll see the sign-in screen.
  • Choose the "Sign In" option.
  • Now, sign in using your workplace email:
    • If your workplace uses SSO (Single Sign-On):
      • Click "Sign In with SSO" and enter the company domain (e.g., companyname.zoom.us).
    • If using Google or Microsoft: You can sign in using the "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Microsoft" options if your workplace uses these services.
    • Otherwise, enter your workplace email credentials if prompted.

3. Ensure the Workplace Zoom Account is Default

  • Open Settings: Click on your profile picture again (once signed in) and go to "Settings".
  • Check under Profile to ensure the correct email (workplace) is shown.
  • Default Zoom Account: Make sure that whenever you join a meeting link, the workplace account is the one currently logged in. If you ever switch accounts, Zoom may remember the last one used.

4. Check Browser Sign-In

If you click Zoom meeting links through your browser:

  • Sign out of Zoom in your browser too (go to zoom.us and sign out).
  • Log back in with your workplace Zoom account using the same methods as above.

5. Clear Saved Zoom Credentials (Optional)

If the issue persists, you can clear your saved login information:

  • Windows: Open Credential Manager (Control Panel > Credential Manager), find Zoom entries, and remove them.
  • Mac: Open Keychain Access and search for any Zoom entries, then delete them.

After doing this, Zoom should use your workplace account by default when you click on meeting links
