To update your Zoom background, follow these steps:
1. Open Zoom and Sign In
- Open the Zoom application on your desktop or mobile device and sign in to your account.
2. Go to Settings
- On desktop: Click on your profile picture in the top right corner, then select Settings.
- On mobile: Tap More (usually in the bottom-right corner), then select Backgrounds & Effects.
3. Select "Background & Effects"
- In the Settings menu, select Background & Effects on the left panel.

4. Choose a Virtual Background
- In the Virtual Background tab, you'll see a list of default backgrounds provided by Zoom.
- To use one, simply click on it, and it will apply automatically to your video background.
5. Add a Custom Background
- To upload your own image or video background, click the "+" icon (or "Add Image/Video" on mobile) and select a file from your device.
- The custom background will appear in your options, and you can click on it to use it.
6. Using a Video Background (Optional)
- Zoom also supports short video backgrounds if you prefer a moving backdrop. Follow the same steps for uploading but choose a video file instead.

7. Check "I have a green screen" (Optional)
- If you have a green screen, you can check the "I have a green screen" box for a more seamless virtual background experience.
8. Test Your Background in a Meeting
- You can preview your virtual background in the Settings menu. For a final test, join a Zoom meeting and see how it looks on your video feed.
Note: Make sure your computer meets Zoom's system requirements for virtual backgrounds if you experience any issues. Some older devices may not support this feature fully.
